Making Spirits Bright
Edmonton Singing Christmas Tree
December 17 – 20, 2015 | Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium
Now in its 46th year, The Edmonton Singing Christmas Tree is an annual holiday tradition that makes spirits bright, and brings wonder and joy to hundreds of Edmonton families.
It is the only Christmas spectacular in Edmonton that donates all proceeds to local charities, organizations and children in need through gifts, food and music education.
More than just a tree full of carolers, the show itself has evolved over the years into an event the whole family will want to experience together, year after year!
The Edmonton Singing Christmas Tree is very pleased to welcome Stephanie Lilley, the artistic director and choreographer of Viva Dance, as choreographer for the 2015 show.
Viva Dance, a contemporary company based in Edmonton, has performed in over 100 shows since 2012 including Fringe Festivals across Canada and the US, Western Canada Fashion Week, corporate events, fundraisers and various shows to promote dance programs in Edmonton Public Schools. The company has donated its dance art to help raise funds and awareness for the Stollery Children’s Hospital, the Children’s Wish Foundation, the University of Alberta’s Mental Health Symposium and others.
We caught up with Stephanie at a recent Fringe performance – watch the interview below!
